Seychelles Pension Fund CEO Ms. Nishreen Abdulmajid joined a delegation of SPF officers to visit the Ile Du Port construction site, to review progress on the soon to be available spaces for rental. The visit took place yesterday, Tuesday 8th June 2021.
The ground plus two building is located in the centre of Ile Du Port, behind the Victoria North petrol station. The building is designed to cater for warehousing, office/shop spaces and archiving. The development consists of 17 rooms for office/shop, 12 rooms for archives, and 11 rooms for warehouse space, provided with top amenities such as lifts and private parking for tenants.
Under the supervision of Mr. Christopher Nicette, SPF Project Manager, the building is being constructed by Well Point Development, the awarded contractor to ensure the successful completion of the project. “The project was expected to be completed by August 2020, but it was delayed for another year due to some constraints that was encountered along the way such as GOP being on hold for expatriate workers, Covid-19 transmission amongst the workers and also the change in exchange rate, commented Mr. Nicette.”
To recap, Seychelles Pension Fund invited members of the public to participate in a naming competition of this building on its facebook and Instagram account by clicking on the link @seypensionfund to submit their entries. The deadline for submission of names is Friday 25th June 2021.
