Seychelles Pension Fund successfully held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 3rd July 2019. The meeting which was held under the slogan “Have Your Say” drew together a large crowd from different interest groups. SPF CEO, Mrs. Lekha Nair made a presentation on the current state of the organization.
At a time when access to information tops the public agenda, the presentation focused on relevant information that members of the public are constantly enquiring about, e.g. investments, benefit outgo, contributions and demography to name a few.
An equally insightful presentation was made by ILO consultant for ISSA & Actuary from BBL World Actuaries, Mr. Georges Langis on sustainability of SPF, which was equally well appreciated by the audience. It presented the challenges SPF could be facing and opportunities available to the organization to ensure that members continue to enjoy retirement benefits for many years to come.
The AGM was the ideal platform for SPF to launch its new website. The Chairman of the SPF Board of Trustees, Mr. Jacquelin Dugasse and CEO of SPF, Mrs. Lekha Nair had the honour to launch the improved website.
In an era where technology is presenting many solutions to ongoing problems, SPF has embraced the opportunity for an interactive website environment where members can register, undertake payment, submit applications for benefits and have real time access to their account. SPF and the hosting provider is working to ensure the website is available for use during the week commencing 15th July 2019.
The AGM culminated with a question and answer session where members attending were given the opportunity to ask additional information about the operations of SPF, and also provide suggestions for improvement.
Members had their say in a very cordial environment and the panel was able to shed further light on emerging issues. SPF thanks the attending members for their participation and frank interactions and will take onboard suggestions provided.
