Seychelles Pension Fund organized its annual ‘Team Building Activity’ on Saturday 9th November 2019 at the Berjaya Beau-Vallon Bay Hotel. Since 2017 SPF has embarked on this full day activity and this year’s theme was about promoting SPF’s “Values”. All activities of the day were centered on this theme, to further create a great working environment and to encourage staff bonding. Staff was seated in groups of 12 and the sitting arrangements were done according to the organization core values namely; prudence, integrity, empathy, teamwork and confidentiality.
The event started with the Annual General Meeting address by the CEO Mrs. Lekha Nair, followed by a very lively inter group quiz which tested staff knowledge about the benefits and investments of SPF. Shortly after the break, staff were given the task of outlining what they thought were the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the organization. This was to have the input of the staff on the strategic direction of SPF.
After a delicious lunch, the facilitators from CTF Consultancy continued with the team building session, which had begun with an ice breaking exercise. This involved outdoor activities whereby staff were provided with different scenarios which were aimed at reinforcing values in the workplace whilst having fun at the same time.
It was an eventful, and yet another successful day for the SPF team building activity. As stipulated by the facilitator, it is anticipated that SPF will move towards being a ‘Super Team’ in achieving its overall objectives.
