Over 50 Human Resources Managers / Payroll Officers from the top 50 employers on Mahe joined Seychelles Pension Fund at the official launching of SPF’s e-pension services that is scheduled to commence in 2020. The event which took place at the STC Conference Room on Monday 16th January was an opportunity to familiarise the HR Managers / Payroll officers to improved online facilities aimed at faster, less error-prone contribution system and real time online member account details.
As the year 2020 signifies a change in decade and a milestone year, SPF wanted to embark in this new era, with the launch of its e-services in the on-line payments landscape. The event started with a welcoming address by the SPF CEO, Mrs. Lekha Nair.
Mrs. Nair said ‘We need to exploit these opportunities that arise from these developments and changes, to remain abreast with modern methodologies and international best practices, as they are transforming the financial industry in a manner that will bring significant gains to businesses and consumers. We at SPF, we don’t want to be left behind, as the successful financial institutions in the future will be those that are able to leverage most from the information and communications technology revolution. In fact increasingly, our consumers are also demanding more efficient services and are becoming more discerning of the power that technology brings.’
SPF have worked on three digitalized services:
1. On-line contribution payments by employers
2. On-line Voluntary contributions by members
Both are under –“ e-pension contribution” that will enable employers to make monthly contribution through bank transfers and uploading of employee payroll records electronically through the website, as well as members making voluntary contribution payment through individual bank account, from the comforts of sitting at home or at work.
3. The third one is directed to members enabling them to access their pension accounts on line through your computer/laptop or mobile from an app called –“e pension services”. Members can at any time, find out what amounts have been credited into their account, how much they have in their voluntary contributions account and if they are eligible for a pension.
The event witnessed three presentations namely; regulations on contributions by Manager for Contribution Miss Celine Pool, the ‘e-pension contribution’ application by Mr. Fady Francourt the Digital Communication Coordinator and the ‘e-pension services’ by Chief IT officer Mr. Steven Rosalie.
SPF is inviting members who wish to access their ‘Statement of Account’ to register in person at our offices at Caravelle House on Mahe, Pension Complex on Praslin and La Digue Pension House on La Digue. Registration in person will help towards ensuring better security with regards to members’ accounts details.
